Kerry Zieger vs City of Seattle Petition for Review
Bike Officer Kerry Zieger of the City of Seattle Police Department was injured during the May 2016 May Day riots when he was struck in the head by a projectile hurled by a protester. He filed suit against the City of Seattle for breach of duty of care (failing to provide him with a bicycle helmet that would provide a higher level of protection than a standard helmet.
