Important Reminders for Instructors

Authored by: IPMBA Headquarters

IPMBA would like to remind instructors of several important procedural updates that affect course paperwork, membership processing, and instructor records. These changes were introduced to simplify administration, improve efficiency, and help ensure students receive their memberships and certificates without unnecessary delays.

Please take a few minutes to review these requirements before your next course.

What Has Changed?

Submit Course Paperwork Electronically

To ensure faster processing and more accurate recordkeeping, all course paperwork must be submitted electronically.

Course documents should be emailed directly to info@ipmba.org. Physical paperwork sent through the mail is no longer accepted and will be returned for electronic resubmission. Submitting documentation electronically helps us process your course completions more quickly and reduces the risk of lost or delayed paperwork. All of that is in the past!

New Member Applications

The membership application previously included in the Instructor Tool Kit (ITK) is no longer valid. New members should create their memberships directly through the IPMBA member database.

For complete details on the current process, see New Membership Applications: What IPMBA Instructors Need to Know.

Instructor Directory Reminders

If you do not see your name in the Instructor Directory, the most common reasons are an inactive membership or not having taught a course within the past 24 months.

Note: Keep Your Contact Information Current

One of the most common reasons members miss important communications is because work email addresses change or begin rejecting messages.

To help prevent bounced emails and missed notifications, we strongly encourage all members to add and maintain a personal email address in their member profile. Having an alternate email address on file helps ensure you continue to receive IPMBA communications, renewal reminders, certificates, and other important updates if your agency email changes.

Questions?

IPMBA recognizes that members may have questions as they become familiar with the new procedures. Our staff and leadership are committed to improving communication throughout the process and ensuring that prospective instructors receive the proper assistance.
