Old Orchard Beach man donates bikes to police, international students

OLD ORCHARD (WGME) -- Friday, Old Orchard Beach police expressed thanks to a local man who works to improve his community, one bicycle at a time.
John Girard and the Waves Oceanfront Resort donated two new mountain bikes to the existing police fleet on Friday.
Old Orchard Beach Police say Girard has consistently donated bikes to the department for years.
The new bikes will replace bikes that have worn out during patrol.
Girard also supplies international students in Old Orchard Beach with refurbished bikes in the summer.
