GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- The Green Bay Police Department showed off its new wheels.
Officers on the squad will now be able to use two electric-assisted bikes that can be operated as a regular Mountain Bike or as a motorized bike.
Police say the bikes will allow them to cover areas that are difficult for squad cars to get into, such as parks.
"They are fantastic and like I said before, they give that officer the ability to travel long distance in a shorter amount of time," said Green Bay Police Captain, John Laux.
The bikes were funded by various donations, including a $10,000 donation from local couple, Bernie and Alyce Dahlin.
