Michael Bennett reveals how he stole police bike after NFC Championship win

Seattle Seahawks star Michael Bennett has revealed just how and why he took a police bike and started riding it after the NFC Championship win against the Green Bay Packers at the weekend.

Bennett, a defensive end for the Seahawks, decided not to celebrate with his teammates, coaches or family like a normal player would in the circumstance. No, the 29-year old former Ohio State instead decided to ride around CenturyLink Field on a police bike he just decided to grab.

After the quick cycle was over, Bennett told reporters it was the best bike ride he’d had in his life, and just how he managed to procure the two-wheeler.

“I took it from the cop and just rode it around the stadium,” Bennett said, according to the Seahawks official website.

“I bike all the time. I’m a real biker. I’ve got three bikes at my house, so I was just having fun. Best bike ride I’ve ever had," the big man added.

Larry Stone, a writer for the Seattle Times, spoke to Bennett after the win and he revealed that when you win a Super Bowl you can pretty much do what you like in the city of Seattle and that his bike ride was reminiscent of the movie, Hangover 2.

The Seattle Police Department did manage to find the funny side of things as well, asking Bennett to bring the bike back before he and the Seahawks depart for Arizona where they'll face the New England Patriots with a second Super Bowl win in two years on the line.
