IPMBA Maintenance Officer Certification Course Request for Proposals
After teaching the IPMBA Maintenance Officer Certification Course at the IPMBA Conference since 2004, Tim Schurr has “retired.” He has become a friend to many and a valued member of the instructor cadre and will be greatly missed. We wish him all the best in his new home and his new endeavors.
As a result of his departure, IPMBA is seeking the services of a professional bike maintenance instructor to serve in the capacity of lead instructor for the course, which will be held June 5-9, 2017, in Delaware, Ohio. The instructor will teach the IPMBA 40-hour curriculum and assist with updating it to reflect changing technologies. The instructor will arrive on Sunday, June 4, and depart on Saturday, June 10, 2017. Lodging on the Ohio Wesleyan University Campus and breakfast and lunch daily will be provided.
The ideal candidate will be an independent contractor possessing the following:
1. Documented formal bicycle maintenance training;
2. Documented formal instructor development training focused on the adult learner;
3. Experience as a bike mechanic, with fleet management a plus; and
4. Commercial general liability insurance or the ability to obtain a policy.
Please submit a comprehensive proposal, including a cover letter and resume or C.V., to events@ipmba.org.
Deadline: September 9, 2016 (extended to September 19, 2016)
