Coming to an event or neighbourhood near you — Windsor cops on bikes.

No longer just an assignment for younger officers, the police bike unit now has more senior members. Mature officers are finding a physical benefit from cycling on the job. The city centre patrol bike unit may have a new name shortly, with mountain bike unit being discussed.

And with festival season approaching, cops assigned to bike patrol will soon be busy pedalling to events and into neighbourhoods across Windsor.
