Whitehall Township police to begin bike patrols

By: 69 News, June 17, 2018

WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Whitehall Township police will soon begin bike patrols.

According to the township police's Facebook page, several officers passed their International Police Mountain Bike Association certification class last week.

The effort to launch a bike patrol was funded by donations from several area companies, such as ABE Fence Supply, AW Auto Sales and Lafayette Ambassador Bank.

Fitness Central in Schnecksville ordered the bikes for the police department and continue to support them with service, the Facebook post said.
