SAN CLEMENTE, CA — Caliber Collision, an auto-body shop in San Clemente, recently donated two, top-of-the-line e-bikes to the Orange County Sheriff's Department bike patrol unit, according to officials.
The Vonax USA, all-terrain bikes will help deputies tackle the area's diverse terrain – from sandy beaches to city streets and winding trails, San Clemente Police Services said.
"These bikes are perfectly aligned with our patrol needs and feel tailor-made for our team," the department said, adding a shout-out for the bikes' "stunning matte-black finish" and nifty graphics from San Clemente-based, custom signage firm, SignHouse, that match the police fleet's design.
The San Clemente agency said it is "beyond grateful" for the support.
