Event Schedule/Agenda: This IPMBA Police Cyclist Course is open to any sworn police/ peace officer. Students need to arrive for registration by 0745 hours on Tuesday May 19th at the Billings Police Training Center, 4812 Midland Rd., Billings MT 59101. Training will begin at 0800 hours. Each day will consist of 8 hours of training, including lectures, skills stations, and mock scenes. Students must be prepared to ride 10+ miles per day and maintain pace with the class. Skills assessments will be conducted throughout the week with a final written examination on Friday May 22nd. This course will include low-light/ night cycling, and a firearms training lecture and practical (Billings Police Range). For an example of a complete course schedule please refer to the IPMBA Police Cyclist Course Model Schedule. A list of required and optional equipment is available on the IPMBA website. Any student unable to perform standards at benchmarks will not be able to continue the course. A student who is released due to: skill deficiency, failure to conduct themselves in a professional manner, or any other failure to complete required training hours will not receive a certificate or a refund. Montana students will receive MT POST training hours (must sign POST roster). Out of state students may be eligible for reciprocity POST hours through their governing body. There are national chain hotels located near the training center. Students will need to make their own arrangements.

Tuition cost includes IPMBA registration and Certificate, and The Complete Guide to Public Safety Cycling 3rd edition. Meals are not provided. There will be a lunch break each day and food options are available in the area.
